The main purpose of the voice alarm system (VA) is to effectively warn the public of imminent danger thus allowing efficient evacuation. The warning and informative functions can be triggered automatically via the fire alarm system or manually using fireman microphones. The audible alarm system is designed to cover all areas of a building to reach its occupants in the event of an emergency.
More importantly, MULTIVES PA/VA system can be successfully used to fulfil non-emergency functions i.e. it can provide standard public address system (PA) functionality. Thanks to its excellent audio setup, in normal conditions it can be used to address public for specific announcements (using either zone microphones or external sound sources) and/or to provide background music.
Key characteristics and functions of MULTIVES PA/VA system to be taken into consideration when planning and installing voice evacuation system in various buildings and venues:
• Zone microphones ABT-DMS can be installed at information points and check-in zones to allow airport staff to make public announcements to passengers awaiting departure. Thanks to TCP/IP protocols and Ethernet switches used to connect up to 263 microphones, our system is capable of supporting applications even at the busiest airports.
• The system offers in-built DSP processors enabling correction of audio signals at each entry and exit level. Our ABT-LA line speakers offer significantly farther reach while maintaining highly-balanced sound levels. Both elements guarantee the highest level of clarity of announcements, even in areas of poor acoustics such as busy Arrivals and Departures halls.
